Hello and Welcome to Lazyfruit Pictures, the website/portfolio of Photographer and Artist Darren Johnson. Here you can view a selection of images from both commisioned and personal projects. All work shown is original imagery and subject to copyrigtht.

I am originally from the North West but now based in London and work both locally and internationally. I studied at UCCAS (formerly KIAD )and have a Ba Photography and have exhibited in several recent exhibitions.

Both in my personal and commercial work I tend to concentrate on constructed enviroments or realities. For me photography is not about documentation but rather creation and with this approach the camera becomes a tool in the creative pallette to be used alongside both technological and more primitive/traditional methods of creativity.

Although I am now concentrating on my own projects and commisions, I have also worked in other areas of the Photographic industry most recently as a digital operator/technician and also as a printer using more traditional black n white techiniques. Also I have experience of working within the film industry and have been involved with major Hollywood feature films and music promo's most recently on a film by Tim Burton.
